I am an assistant professor at the Department of Geomatics Engineering at University of Calgary. My research focuses on the system architecture, performance, and scalability issues of sensor web, and sensor web applications. I am also the PI of several sensor web research projects, including the GeoCENS project and the TrafficPulse project. GeoCENS is a social network-based sensor web platform allowing users to discover, browse, visualize and share sensor data. TrafficPulse is a smartphone-based sensor web that harnesses the users' smartphones to monitor urban dynamics.
