Simon Scheider is a research associate at the University of Münster, Germany. He has worked in the area of spatial knowledge discovery and modelling at Fraunhofer IAIS, Sankt Augustin, Germany. He is currently developing semantic reference systems for describing geospatial data. He holds a diploma degree in Applied Geography from the University of Trier, Germany. In 2011, he finished his PhD "Grounding geographic information in perceptual operations" under the supervision of Prof. Werner Kuhn, Münster.
