Since September 2010, I am an Assistant Professor at Paris 13 University teaching at I.U.T (University Institute of Technologie) of Bobigny and working as a researcher at Lim&Bio (Medical Informatics & Bioinformatics Laboratory) Laboratory.
Before my current position, I was a post-doctoral fellow of CSDL project's team in MAS Laboratory at Ecole Centrale Paris. CSDL (Complex System Design Lab) project aims to develop a decision-making collaborative environment for designing complex systems.
Before my post-doctoral fellow, I had a PhD in computer science at Paris-Sud University (obtained in 2009). I have worked on domain ontology evolution and consistency maintenance under the supervision of Marie-Aude Aufaure, BI Chair, ECP.
PhD details: I have focused on issues related to ontology change management in a local context and particularly on consistency maintenance. I have defined an ontology evolution approach Onto-Evoal (Ontology Evolution-Evaluation) guided by Change Management Pattern (CMP) modelling. CMP patterns specify three categories of classes: Change, Inconsistency and Resolution Alternative. Based on the modeled patterns and the semantics relations between them, I have proposed an automated process driving change application while maintaining consistency of the evolved ontology. In addition, the approach integrates an evaluation activity supported by an ontology quality model. The quality model is used to guide inconsistency resolution by assessing the impact of the resolutions proposed by the evolution process on ontology quality and selecting the resolution that preserves the quality of the evolved ontology. Change management depending closely on the ontology representation model, I have focused on OWL language and considered change impact on logical consistency as specified in OWL DL layer.
