Map & Imagery Laboratory UCSB Library.

The Map & Imagery Lab (MIL) holds America's largest collection of aerial photography in an academic insitution. It has global holdings of mid- to late- twentieth century topographic and geologic mapping. Through the 1990s and into the early 2000s, MIL hosted early efforts to create large data repositories and associated storage and retrieval systems. It is currently engaged laying the groundwork for a production-grade data repository for use in classrooms and research laboratories across campus.
