Diploma degree in electrical engineering from the Electrical and Computer Engineering department of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH), Thessaloniki, Greece, in 2000. MSc. degree in advanced communication systems and engineering from AUTH in 2005.
Mr. Dimosthenis Ioannidis is working from October 2006 as a Research Associate in Information Technologies Institute of the Centre for Research and Technology Hellas in Thessaloniki.
His main research interests are in the areas of biometrics (gait and activity-related recognition), 3-D data processing, web semantics, energy efficiency in buildings, computer vision and signal processing.
