I am a faculty member of the Department of Geography at National University of Singapore. My research interests fall under the general theme of geographic information science with focus on formal spatial ontology, qualitative description of spatial features, and semantic similarity within an across languages. I am also interested in applications of geographic information systems and remote sesning as environmental modeling tools. Specific topic of interest include land use/land cover changes and public health issues in Asia.
