This is a great idea for an SW project. Just a couple of comments.
The uri http://sws.geonames.org/2640357 fails but http://www.geonames.org/2640357 is Ok - why is the former being used? I dont think you should use geo:altitude for the height of a climb. The definition given is "The WGS84 altitude of a SpatialThing (decimal meters above the local reference ellipsoid)" . Perhaps there is vocabulary for measurements of objects - height, breadth ,depth ?
